The Mother Earth Eco Sanctuary Project, for Bandung Indonesia, came to life on the drawing board during 2016-17. Unfortunately, we came to a grounding halt 20 months ago, as we all navigated through our new reality.

The Mother Earth Eco Sanctuary concept is based on permaculture principles, which at its core beliefs in caring for people, the earth and everyone having a fair share. The master plan vision is to provide housing stability, sustainable living options and food abundance, on sites that can be developed all over the planet. It will provide a place for local and international education, a working permaculture site, and a place of shelter for those in need. The concept we envision will change the traditional approach on how we provide sustenance, educate, and empower people.

Now, more so than before the Covid 19 pandemic, we must re-evaluate and seek alternative options, for how we and those in need live, shelter and sustain themselves, because in self-isolation, and times of uncertainty and difficulty, many discovered that the certainty of the past was taken away rapidly.

This is why projects such as The Mother Earth Eco Sanctuary concept are so important and relevant, especially now. Covid 19 did not discriminate. It affected people from the richest capital cities to people in the remotest villages in the developing world. Although, the effects felt by those in developing countries, only further drove many further into poverty, due to lack of employment, education, and resources.

Therefore, the solution that The Mother Earth Eco Sanctuary concept brings is housing stability, food abundance, education, and self-governance. Alongside principles and ethics that address many issues in the world today.
